HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - Dozens showed up for a concert honoring a popular Dayton rapper who was brutally killed in the middle of a Harrison Township street.

Thirty-year-old Douglas Byrd was supposed to be performing at Club Heat in Huber Heights on Friday night. Instead his fellow rappers put on an R & B tribute for his fans, friends, and family.

Byrd was shot several times in the 3900 block of Salem Avenue on Tuesday, January 17.

Police are looking for a 18-year-old Levi Slaughter in connection with the killing.
