TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - Trotwood leaders and community members took part in improving John Wolfe Park Saturday as part of Make a Difference Day.

The project included installing chain-style hoops and putting down fresh asphalt and sealing the basketball courts, painting the shelter, installing a water fountain, and cleaning up around the lake.

In addition, picnic tables were refinished, new grills were installed, and flowers and trees were planted throughout the park.

By taking part in this year's "Make a Difference Day," Trotwood will qualify for a $10,000 grant it can donate to the charity of its choice.

Saturday's park cleanup was made possible by volunteers and funds from the City of Trotwood.

John Wolfe Park is located at 4030 Denlinger Road.
