DAYTON (WDTN) - After strong storms shut down the Cityfolk Festival for the second time this weekend, event organizers said as of 7 p.m. Sunday the event was back up and running.
According to the event website, they received the all clear and the City of Dayton fireworks display will go on as scheduled at 10 p.m.
The multi-cultural festival was suspended Friday night after severe storms toppled tents.
"We were pretty lucky," said Dave Barber, Director of Programs for Cityfolk. "We got a lot of our tents back up, our vendors got repaired and our electricity back on. We've been able to run with our two biggest days of the festival".
