WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A new tile mural depicting an important period in West Carrollton's history was unveiled Tuesday in the lobby of the civic center.

Will Stansfield, owner of Laser Wolf Engraving, recently donated a ceramic tile mural that depicts how aviator Orville Wright, and his colleagues, tested the country’s first seaplanes along the local stretch of the Great Miami River from 1911 to 1913.

This photograph, obtained with permission from the Wright State University Archives, with the cooperation of the West Carrollton Historical Society and Wright Brothers Seaplane Base, Inc., will now be on display for all visitors to the West Carrollton Civic Center.
