HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - The new Kroger Aquatic Center in Huber Heights was a hit with sun worshippers and swimmers this summer, but its neighbors are not as enthusiastic.

They packed a town hall meeting Wednesday night to vent their frustrations over the development.

Many had issues with noise, traffic and lighting.

They do agree that the city is doing a good job at addressing their concerns and is working to fix the problems.

"My unit is one of the closest ones to the water park and the noise level is no more than happy children playing in the park. We are a little concerned with the amphitheater and we hope the council will help us in that area like they did with the waterpark," said Ed Terek, Huber Heights resident.

The mayor told us he's going to take the information he learned at the meeting back to the council.

He plans do site visits to see and hear any problems firsthand in the hopes of fixing as many as possible.
