Child death investigated at Dayton home

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police in Dayton are investigating the death of an infant.

Detectives were called to a house on Sheridan Avenue before noon Tuesday.

Police say a one month old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives and the Special Victim Unit were called because of the age of the victim.

Police stress there are no signs of foul play at this time.  An autopsy has been ordered.
