Car overturns on I-75 south in Dayton, traffic snarled

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Traffic through downtown Dayton is snarled right now on Interstate 75 after a two car crash in the southbound lanes.

The crash is at the Stewart Street exit in the construction zone.  One car is overturned and resting on its top.

The driver of each car was removed to the hospital for treatment.

The extent of injuries is unknown right now.

We're told one lane of I-75 south is open, but you can imagine how backed up Friday afternoon traffic is in that area.

ODOT says 112,000 vehicles travel through that stretch of highway daily, so you might want to avoid that area today.

2 NEWS has a crew at the scene.  More on this breaking news as we get it.
