DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Poelking Lanes South hosted a bowling benefit Saturday for the survivor of a deadly crash.
Friends and family of 19-year-old Centerville grad Alex Lovett gathered at the bowling lanes on Kingsridge Drive in Dayton for the event Saturday afternoon. The event was held by Centerville High School, Bowling Boosters, and Poelking Lanes South.
Lovett, a Centerville High School bowler, 2012 graduate, and a member of the Greater Dayton Bowling community was the passenger in a car accident September 9.
The driver, 19-year-old Mitchell Haber from Centerville was killed in the accident.
The injuries Lovett sustained in the crash were extensive and his recovery will be long and expensive. The bowling benefit was held Saturday to cover some of his medical costs.
All of the proceeds from Saturday's event will go to The Prayers for Alex Lovett Fund.
