Bomb squad called to Miamisburg; 'Suspicious materials' found

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) -  

A Miamisburg street was back open Friday afternoon after the bomb squad shut it down early Friday morning.
 
Miamisburg police confirmed to 2 NEWS that explosives were found at a home in the 1000 block of Terrington Avenue.
 
Aaron Taylor, 38, was taken into police custody.
 
The incident started at 5:00 am when a woman walked into the the Miamisburg Police Department to make a domestic violence complaint.
 
Police investigated and found suspicious devices inside the home.  They called in the Dayton and WPAFB bomb squads to assist.
 
The items were detonated Friday afternoon in a field near the home.
 
Several neighboring homes were evacuated during the investigation.  The residents have since been given the all clear to return to their homes.
 
Police say the woman who made the domestic violence complaint had to be treated at a local hospital.
 
Taylor is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a kidnapping charge.
