WASHINGTON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - Officials are blaming a fire that broke out in a home in Washington Township Saturday on a house fan.

Fire crews were dispatched to the 5300 block of Camellia Pl. just after 12:50 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found the attic and hallway filled with smoke. Crews contained the fire within an hour.

Crews said a house fan likely sparked the blaze and the fire appeared to be electrical.

None of the residents were injured in the fire. One firefighter was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Damage is estimated at $20,000.

The incident remains under investigation.
