BBB warns of change of address scheme

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers about a web site that claims to make address changes for you with the postal service, but never does.

The BBB says people searching for sites get a sponsored listing that says "USPS Change My Address".  The link then sends you to the web site in question.   The link claims to be affiliated with the United States Postal Service.  People visit it for a fast way to make change of address requests.

The Better Business Bureau says it is receiving complaints that the site takes your $19.95 credit card purchase, but never changes your address.  The BBB says the site is in no way affiliated with the US Postal Service.

The company that runs the site, Form Glant, LLC, says it operates out of a downtown Dayton address.  BBB investigators made a site check, and found that no business of that name is housed there.

The BBB urges you to always make a change of address request directly with the United States Postal Service.  You can visit any post office or request a form from your postman.
