HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - Granny C's bakery in Huber Heights held a fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy victims on Saturday.
The staff will donate a percentage of their pay to the Red Cross to help those along the east coast who've lost everything. A portion of sales will also be donated to hurricane victims.
Employees said they saw an influx of customers on Saturday, wanting to help the victims of Sandy.
"There are just so many people in the area that don't know how to help or can't help," said Sarah Taubert, who works at Granny C's. "Just by stopping in, picking up some cookies or some donuts, that's an easy way to help, that's an easy way to get a little bit of a sense of pride in your community to be able to help the victims."
Granny C's hopes to donate at least $500 from the tips they earn Saturday.
Granny C's is located at 5115 Old Troy Pike, Huber Heights. Special orders can be placed by calling 236-1230.
