DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - This is a very important week for schools across Ohio.

It is Count Week and every school needs every student to be at school every day.

Attendance numbers recorded the week of October 1 will determine how much money each district will get from the state for the school year.

Dayton Public Schools have a plan to get your child to school. It is hosting spirit events all week long, including daily events to encourage attendance.
