DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Two local airmen returned home to the Miami Valley Thursday with all the fanfare and hugs from family and friends.

The Patriot Guard marched alongside Senior Airman Nick Harvey and Senior Airman Garrick Pain as they arrived at the Dayton International Airport.

"Its great, especially being my first time doing this. It's a lot more than I was expecting. It's great to be back see, everybody that they care enough to do something like this for us," said Sr. Airman Nick Harvey.

"When we come home, it was really neat to see everybody," said Senior Airman Garrick Pain.

Airmen Harvey and Pain served in Iraq and Afghanistan for 6 months.
