WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio (WDTN) - A local airman in the US Air Force is asking Justin Bieber to the annual Air Force ball.

Senior Airman Ashlyn Marra is an ultrasound technologist at the Wright Patterson AFB Medical Center.

She recently posted a YouTube video of herself requesting Justin Bieber escort her to the upcoming ball at the Air Force Museum on September 21.

"Its a 30 second video I put together using a collaboration of his songs," said Marra.  "I came up with the idea after learning two marines had asked Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis to a ball and they accepted."

Marra, 22, is hoping with the help of the public her video will go viral and Justin Bieber will see her request.

"I love his music.  I love everything he stands for and how he is constantly giving back to the community," said Marra.  "I couldn't think of anyone better to ask when it comes to enjoying a night dedicated to honoring Americas' heroes."
