Storms kick-up high winds, some rain

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Power is out for a number homes and businesses across the Miami Valley.

The line of thunderstorms that blew through Wednesday afternoon produced high winds along with the rain.

According to DP&L, more than 1,000 customers over an 11 county area lost power.  Duke Energy reported 3900 outages in Warren County at the height of the storm and Ohio Edison reported 15 outages in Clark County.

Trees were reported down along Diamond Mill Road, north of Germantown, and in a West Carrollton neighborhood.
