ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - A local school celebrated learning and farm life in Englewood on Thursday.
Miami Valley Child Development Centers, Inc., located at Aullwood's Discovery Farm Center, was recognized by the National Head Start Association and National Farm to School program for adding lessons about animals and living on the farm to its curriculum. It is one of four head start centers honored across the country. Kids in the program learn about everything from eating healthy to how food gets to the table.
This is the first year for the farm based program.
The Nature/Farm Play Early Childhood Learning Center at Aullwood Discovery Farm is possible through a collaborative partnership. Parters include Miami Valley Child Development Centers, Inc., Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm, and National Audubon Society. Morning and afternoon classes are offered Monday through Thursday through MVCDC. Find more information at: http:// mvcdc.org/
