DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Three children were taken to the hospital on New Year's Day after a crash on icy roads in Dayton.
The driver lost control on U.S. 35 at Gettysburg Avenue and hit a pole and guardrail, flipping the car onto its top.
Two of the children were not in proper restraint seats, one was in the car seat. All the kids were expected to be okay, said police officers at the scene. The driver will be charged for not having the kids properly restrained.
One of two adults in the car was taken to hospital to be checked out as well.
Officers said three accidents were reported on U.S. 35 early New Year's Day due to weather conditions.
