DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A 19-year old woman is now formally charged with vehicular homicide for a crash that killed a Missouri woman.
Prosecutors say Rachael Schidecker, of Laura, was drunk when she drove the wrong way on Interstate 75 in August 2012.
They contend that she got on the highway at First Street in downtown Dayton heading north in the southbound lanes. Investigators say she traveled four miles going the wrong way before crashing head-on into the victim's car.
Chereece Rule, of Kansas City, Missouri, was a passenger in the car. She died. The driver, David Wilson, was pulled from the burning wreckage suffering from broken bones and burns. Five cars were involved in the crash.
Prosecutors say Schidecker's blood alcohol level was ten times the legal limit at the time of the crash.
She was indicted Tuesday on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, a count of aggravated vehicular assault and two counts of OVI.
She is scheduled for arraignment on April 2.
The accident happened in the westbound lanes of U.S. 33 by Townline-Kossuth Road…
