Dayton shooting victim shot in the back

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton police have another shooting on the books in their city.
Officers responded to 915 Malvern Avenue at 2:30 pm Wednesday.
They found a victim who was shot in the back inside the vacant house.
The victim told police someone tried to shoot him in the face, but the gun jammed. He ran away, and the suspect then shot him in the back.
Police did detain a 19-year old man for questioning. They are still investigating exactly what happened.
The victim was last listed in serious condition at Miami Valley Hospital. He is expected to survive.
