MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) - A Miamisburg school bus struck a deer crossing Jamacia Road flipping the animal into a passing car Wednesday afternoon.

2 NEWS has learned no one onboard the bus was injured in the crash. The driver of the passing car was taken to a local hospital with injuries.

Officers on the scene say the bus was approaching the intersection of Jamacia Road and Lower Miamisburg Road when it struck the deer. The force of the impact sent the deer flying into the passing car.

"This is a bus that doesn't usually travel, she had to follow the detour.  There is no way to see it.  There is a cluster of trees and the deer came from that direction," said Sonya Johnson.
