TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - A Kentucky man was arrested on drug charges after crashing his car in Miami County Monday morning.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers told 2 NEWS it started when they clocked the suspect's 2013 Chevy Captiva at 89 mph on Interstate 75.
As the trooper attempted to catch-up with the car in the Piqua area, the suspect slammed into the back of commercial vehicle, causing the crash.
It was while troopers were conducting their crash investigation, that they found several bags of hydroponic marijuana that had become dislodged from the bumper during the crash.
Brandon D. Means, 27, was taken to Upper Valley Medical for his injuries and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of criminal tools. Means was also driving without a license.
Troopers valued the nearly two pounds of pot at $9,000.
