TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) - Tipp City Schools will soon find out if voters will pay more for a better education for their children.
A 7.95 mill levy will be decided in a special election Tuesday, August 7.
The five-year operating levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 property about $240 a year beginning in 2013.
We asked one parent at Thursday night's public informational meeting if she had any words of encouragement for the superintendent.
"Words of encouragement good luck... a lot more than I wanted to spend," said Liz Robbins, Tipp City parent.
School officials say if the measure doesn't pass, teachers and support staff will be let go, money for field trips will be cut and participation fees will go up.
