TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) - "Today at the high school, in the boys' bathroom, or one of the boys' bathrooms, a cryptic note was found that stated 'School Columbine #2, 2/14/13.  Good Luck'," explains Superintendent John Kronour in a message to Tipp City High School parents Wednesday night.

The message references the Columbine High School shooting massacre which happened in Colorado in 1999.  12 students and a teacher were killed, 24 others were injured.

Kronour didn't want to comment on camera but says school will go on as normal with added security.

Tipp City Police tell 2 News they don't want to give any details on their plans but they will have a visible presence on school grounds all day.

"It's really serious that it's too bad that it's come to that measures.  It's just something that we shouldn't have to worry about that but we do and we have to protect our young people," says Jane Thompson.

Some parents and students think the district is taking this threat too lightly.  They believe school should be canceled Thursday.

"I think that they probably could take it a little more seriously because the threat that was just there on the stall.  I'm not sure if it was just some kids joking around about it or a real threat.  But, I think that they should do more about it," comments senior Alex Stearns.

And a couple parents tell 2 News they plan to keep their kids home Thursday because of this threat.
