Smoke detector saves Troy family

TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - The beeping of a smoke detector was enough to get two people safely out of their home in Troy Thursday morning.

Firefighters said there was heavy fire coming out of the attic of the Water Street house when they arrived.

They said they had trouble reaching the fire, but were able to save the house.
