BETHEL TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - Police in Miami County want you to be on alert after a rash of car break-ins.
According to Miami County deputies, approximately 25 cars have been broken into in the past several weeks.
This is happening primarily in Bethel Township.
Police believe the break-ins are all connected.
In fact, they've identified a tan Buick Century as a possible suspect vehicle.
We're told the burglars are striking in the early morning hours.
So, police want you to be on alert and follow some safety precautions.
"Don't leave any valuables in your car, period. Take your purses, take your garments, take your money, electronics, whatever you have, keep them inside. Secondly, we recommend to not leave your garage door opener in your car. If someone breaks into your car, they can then access into your garage where we have a lot of other valuables," said Chief Deputy Dave Duchak, Miami Co. Sheriff's Department.
Police also want you and your neighbor to look after one another.
If something or someone looks out of the ordinary, contact your local law enforcement.
The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
