PIQUA, Ohio (WDTN) - Piqua High School students took a moment Tuesday to pray for an injured teacher.
Brian Sherman, 30, of Minster, was struck by a car early Sunday morning near his home.
Investigators say Sherman was not in the crosswalk on Fourth Street when he was hit by a car driven by Terry Heitkamp, 38, of Minster.
The students gathered in a prayer circle in honor of Sherman.
He was listed in serious condition Tuesday afternoon at Miami Valley Hospital.
Minster police are asking that anyone who saw the incident, call them at (419) 628-2378.
