Mumford & Sons to play in Troy

TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - The Grammy-award winning Mumford and Sons announced a two-day concert experience this summer in Troy.

The Miami County city will host the popular band on its Gentlemen of the Road Stopover on August 30 and 31, 2013.

The stopovers are two-day events that will will travel across the United States, United Kingdom and Canada this summer.  The band describes the festival as a community celebration with the excitement of a world class music festival.

The Troy line-up is shaping up like this:

Friday, August 30 - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes
Saturday, August 31 - Mumford and Sons

Also included will by Old Crow Medicine Show, The Vaccines, Half Moon Run, Those Darlins, Willy Mason, Bear's Den and more to be announced.

Tickets will cost $109 with no additional fees.  You'll get a concert passport for the entire event.

Troy Main Street, Inc. is planning a news conference Wednesday morning to discuss what the show will mean to the region.  You can bet the economic impact will be great.
