Motorcyclist loses leg in accident

MIAMI CO., Ohio (WDTN) - A motorcyclist lost his leg after slamming into a pickup truck in the 4000 block of West State Route 41 between Troy and Covington around 11 p.m. Saturday.
According to officials, the man veered left of center driving around a curve when he smashed into the side of the pickup truck.
CareFlight was called to the scene to transport the motorcyclist to the hospital.
Deputies reported the man suffered a traumatic amputation of his leg in the crash.
The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were not injured.
