PIQUA, Ohio (WDTN) - Seatbelts and airbags prevented a roll-over crash in Miami County from becoming a serious situation according to Sheriff’s deputies.
Miami County Sheriff's deputies and emergency responders from Piqua and Fletcher responded to the 10000 block of County Road 25-A around 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Careflight was put on standby when it was determined that the driver and a passenger would both need to be extricated from the mini van that landed on its side and against a tree.
Both victims who were then transported to Upper Valley Medical Center for treatment.
The driver was identified as Della M. Gilmore, 54, of Sidney. Her passenger was reported to be a child.
Deputies are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
