Memorial services set for Troy soldier

TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - The memorial service is set for a Troy soldier killed in Afghanistan.

PFC Jeffrey Rice, 24, was killed July 19, 2012 in Kandahar.

A public visitation will be held from 12:00-4:00PM on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy. Family will be in attendance from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 30 at the funeral home. Military rites will follow the service.

Baird Funeral Home is located at 5 North Market Street in Troy.

Rice was a 2007 graduate of Troy High School and the Upper Valley Joint Vocational School.
