LUDLOW FALLS, Ohio (WDTN) - A Ludlow Falls man admits that he made sexually explicit videos with children he babysat.
Kevin Todd, 41, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court Thursday to one count of sexual exploitation of children.
He offered the videos online for trade.
Todd must spend between 20 and 25 years in prison. He will be sentenced July 11.
“Sexual exploitation of children by someone who has the responsibility of caring for them is a crime that merits swift, sure punishment,” U.S. Attorney Carter Stewart said. “I want to encourage anyone with any information involving any other possible victims of exploitation to call local law enforcement.”
The Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force caught Todd when members responded to an ad he posted online requesting people looking for "taboo". Todd requested a meeting to exchange videos and pictures of child pornography.
Officers arrested him during at that meeting on November 24, 2012. Investigators found DVDs and other storage media containing pornographic videos and photos in his car.
Forensic examination found that Todd produced the videos of the minor females between August 2010 and November 2012 in the bathroom of his residence.
He is being held in jail until his sentencing.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood , a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.
