TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) - The congregation of a Tipp City church is watching the track of Hurricane Isaac very closely.

The flock at Ginghamsburg Church has done a lot of work around New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina trying to help people rebuild.

Now they are fearful about Isaac churning inland.

"When you come back from a trip like that it's the people that you remember. You remember a location by the people who are there, especially when you go and start having a relationship with the people that are there. That's where the emotional connection comes in," said Dan Bracken, Sr., Media Producer, Ginghamsburg Church.

Bracken is one of Ginghamsburg's many members who have made the trip to the New Orleans area over the last 7 years.

In all, Ginghamsburg has done 70 missions and helped countless families rebuild.

They've seen a lot of progress over the years, but there are still a lot of areas picking up the pieces after Katrina.

They say watching the forecast and Isaac move towards the Gulf, isn't easy.

"My heart instantly goes to the people we know. We've developed a lot of relationships down there. I've met 20 or 30 families that we've helped, so my heart goes with them and knowing what kind of anxiety they must be going through, but also, just that whole city to rise to a place where they feel rebuilt and then to be threatened with another storm is, you know I am praying a lot for them right now," said Nate Gibson, Executive Director of Business Operations.

Gibson says if Isaac leaves a mark, the church will do what it can to help. He says they are already talking about missions to the New Orleans area in the near future.
