TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - A Troy family is hosting a lemonade stand with a sweet twist.
Zach and Amanda Austin and their 2-year-old daughter are serving up the refreshing drink along with some tasty treats to raise money for a national nonprofit called "Alex's Lemonade Stand", dedicated to finding a cure for childhood cancer.
The Austins say they are not personally affected by the disease, but felt inspired to help.
"I saw it on TV last year and it touched my heart and once we had a daughter of our own, I wanted to teach her the importance of helping others," said Amanda Austin.
The lemonade stand will be open Saturday, August 4 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
If you'd like to stop by and support the cause, they are located at 916 Wilson Road in Troy.
