TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) - A Miami County church opened its doors to the family and friends of a 20-year-old who lost her life in a New Year's Day fire.
Friday afternoon Ginghamsburg Church held a funeral for Ellen Garner from Tipp City.
A large turnout was expected and indeed the parking lot was packed.
Garner died January 14 from injuries she suffered in a house fire near the campus of the University of Cincinnati. She was studying fashion design at U.C.
Family friend, Chris Graham, described the funeral as a celebration of Garner's life. He told 2 NEWS the family is grateful for the 20 years they did have with Ellen.
The fire also killed Centerville graduate, Chad Kohls.

The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
