TROY, Ohio (WDTN) - The Troy father serving time for the rape of his three adopted children sat down Monday for a jail house interview.

Kenneth Brandt, 40, admitted wrongdoing to the Associated Press.

He says he hopes to prevent the children from having to testify in court.

Brandt also says he wants to testify against two other men charged in this case.

The adoptive father pleaded guilty to six rape counts against him.  Another 25 counts were dropped in a plea agreement.

He still faces a potential trial in Montgomery County on three counts of rape of a child under 13 and four related charges.

He told the jail house interviewer that he is sorry for hurting the children.

Jason Zwick of Beavercreek, is accused of answering an online ad published by Brandt.

Patrick Rieder of Dayton, is also charged.
