Killer denied parole for store murder

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio (WDTN) - The man who killed a Dayton store clerk in 1985 will not get out of prison early.

2 News has learned the parole board rejected the request by Dennis Jones.

He fatally shot Mary Jo Mitchell during a robbery at a convenience store where she worked.

He's serving 20 years to life and has now been denied parole twice.
