BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio (WDTN) - A former Bellfontaine school teacher who solicited sex, was in trouble for a similar crime.

This time, police said Amber Sommer, also known as Amber Carter, attempted to sell sex with children.

Sommer was charged with one count of child endangering. Police said she had tried to make deals with a man in Dayton. She told police they had a master/slave relationship, and he tried to exert mental control over her mind.

Sommer, known as Ms. Carter by students at Western Intermediate school in Bellefontaine, lost her job in 2009, after she used a school computer to arrange a sexual tryst with a man, via the website craigslist.

Police said Sommer left school early to meet the man at a Super 8 Motel, in exchange for $50. The man turned out to be an undercover detective.

Sommer was sentenced to two years on probation for that crime, and lost her licence to teach.

Now, while on probation, police said Sommer was up to her old tricks again.

"Her boyfriend came in with concerns of a scheme that might be taking place involving some adults and some children," said Lt. Ron Birt, of the Bellefontaine Police Department.

Court records stated that Sommer promised to have sex with a child and send the man in Dayton pictures of them.

Court records also stated, Sommer was arranging to take another child shopping in Dayton, where the man would pretend to hold her at gunpoint, unless the child performed sexual acts on him.

Police found email communications between Sommer and the man in Dayton.

"We seized a computer from her home and on March 5th, and we executed a search warrant in Dayton and got another computer down there," said Sommer.

Police have submitted the computers to the crime lab. Sommer was in the Logan County jail.

The man in Dayton had not been charged with any crimes yet.
