Xenia issues Boil Alert advisory

Xenia, Ohio (WDTN) - The City of Xenia has issued a boil water advisory for customers in part of City’s water service area after a water main break at approximately 7 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013.

As a precaution, a boil order is in effect for customers in the areas identified below.  

Customers who reside in the affected area are advised to boil their tap water before drinking.  

This precautionary boil advisory will remain in effect until 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16.

• Highlander Dr.
• Highlander North
• Eastland Ct.
• Laddie Ct.
• Echo Ct.
• Mound Ct.
• Ashbrook Ct.
• Brooke Ln.
• Independence Dr.
• Liberty Ct.
• Hancock Ct.
• Constitution Dr.
• Minuteman Ct.
• Kinsey Rd. East of Highlander
• Shirley Dr.
• Crestline Dr.
• Silver Dr.
• Stevenson Rd.
• Apollo Dr.

All water used for drinking, cooking and oral hygiene should be brought to a full boil for a minimum of one minute. It is not necessary to boil water for other uses.
