FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - The BMW CCA Foundation hosted its Tire Rack Street Survival Program at Wright State University's Nutter Center Sunday.

The school is a one-day, teen safe driving program designed to go beyond driver's education and give teens nationally the hands-on experience and tools to become safer, smarter drivers.

"We put teens in challenging driving situations," said Tim Beechuk, who is a program coordinator.  "This includes skid control, emergency lane change, and weight transfer control on private courses."

Organizers said students use their own vehicles because each has different handling characteristics.

Students also received classroom instruction on proper seating and hand positions, mirror placement and situational awareness.

For more information or to enroll your teen in a class visit www.streetsurvival.org or call 864-329-1919.
