FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - Fairborn firefighters spent Wednesday afternoon battling a house fire.

The smoky blaze broke out at 49 Wilson Street just before 1:00 pm.

Investigators say it started in a bedroom in the back of the house.

Two adults and two children live there.  They got out safely thanks to a smoke alarm.  The Red Cross is assisting them with temporary housing.

Fire crews set the damage amount at $30,000.
