DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN/DBJ) - Sequestration will take more than $111 million from Ohio’s economy in lost wages during the first six months after it is implemented, according to an article published by WDTN's partners at the Dayton Business Journal . The article states the majority of that will come from workers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

More than 14,200 workers in Ohio would be affected by furloughs. Wright-Patt officials recently said as many as 13,000 of those employees would be from Dayton.

Because of a 30-day notification rule, a furlough at Wright-Patt would not take place until April at the earliest.

Base officials are waiting for more information from the Department of Defense about how the furloughs will be structured.
