BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - State Farm and community partners launched the Celebrate My Drive event on Saturday in Beavercreek.

Beavercreek community leaders joined with hundreds of other locations across the United States to show support for teen drivers, helping them stay safe.

Celebrate My Drive brought together community members, law enforcement, and parents in support of this year's class of new teen drivers.

The event was held at Beavercreek High School and provided entertainment and activities for teen drivers.

According to the Center for Disease Control, car crashes are the number one killer of American teens. Thus, State Farm debuted a teen driver safety program to raise awareness and keep teens safe on the road.

State Farm rallied communities to promote teen driver safety by hosting more than 300 events across the country Saturday.

State Farm will be giving a total of 14, $100,000 grants to high schools across the United States. Fourteen teenagers and their families who participate in the event will also win a new Chevy Sonic LS.
