FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - Special agents from the US Army Criminal Investigation Command are now looking into the death of a Fairborn native in Afghanistan.

The CID says the shooting death of Christina Maddock was not combat related.

Maddock died in while working as a contractor for a Colorado-based company.  She was assigned to Camp Arena, Afghanistan.

CID will not make a final determination until a thorough investigation is complete.  It is the CID's job to investigate all non-combat related deaths of US soldiers and civilian contractors in war regions.

Maddock was a graduate of Fairborn High School and Wright State University.  She was also an active member of the Ohio Air National Guard.
