BELLBROOK, Ohio (WDTN) - Three candles burning in the night to remember three lives cut tragically short.

Sophie Kerrigan, Skylar Kooken, and Juilianna Hawk were killed in a crash over the weekend.

All three teens were students at Bellbrook High School.

Community members lit candles and placed them on their porches Wednesday night in their memories.

"This community has been rocked by this tragedy.  This is just a way for us to show our love, our affection," says Mike Lecovone.

Tina Morgan's 18-year-old son Zachary was also riding in the truck when it wrecked. He was taken to the hospital with injuries but has now been released.

"We're very thankful that he's with us but very heavy-hearted for the other families," explains Morgan.

She says the support she's received has given her strength .

"My friends, the friends of friends, the families, some of my best friends, the hospital filled up with people, the support, the love was overwhelming.," comments Morgan.

And she asks the community to continue to be there for the girls' families.

"I would like to say that my love goes out to the three girls' families and to please keep praying for them because they've been through a horrible, no mother and father should ever want to go through something this horrible," says Morgan.

The community will be coming together again to remember the girls this weekend.  A "Celebration of Life" ceremony will be Saturday at Bellbrook High School. It begins at two in the afternoon.  Doors open at one.
