GREENE COUNTY (WDTN) - Factory Road in Greene County is flooded again.
Rain that fell overnight and this morning flooded the road south of North Alpha-Bellrook Road, near the water treatment facility.
The area has been prone to flooding for years, and this most recent storm offered no exception.
It's a problem that county officials and residents in the area had hoped was solved a year ago .
A thorough cleanup of Beaver Creek in the Spring of 2012 was supposed alleviate the problem.
"It was absolutely the biggest floating dump I'd seen," Greene County Engineer Robert Geyer said at the time.
That cleanup was enough to drop the water level by four feet.
Geyer said after the 2012 cleanup that it was their plan to continue to keep the creek clear in the future.
