GREENE CO., Ohio (WDTN) - There is an apparent local connection to a planned attack at a Florida university.

James Oliver Seevakumaran is reported to have family members who live in Greene County.

He is accused compiling a checklist to harm classmates at the University of Central Florida.

Investigators say the list included plans to get drunk, pull a fire alarm and then "give them hell".

Seevakumaran was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside his dorm room as police were moving in to arrest him Monday.

The Greene County Sheriff's Department issued a statement Tuesday evening on behalf of the family.  It reads:

The family of James Oliver Seevakumaran states that James was a loner and did not have a history of violence.  The family does not wish to make any further comments to the media, and they are requesting privacy during this difficult time.  Please direct all inquiries regarding this case to the University of Central Florida Police Department, (407) 823-5300.

Explosives and guns were found in Seevakumaran's dorm room.  Police also confiscated a mailed package that contained ammunition.

No one was hurt.
