BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) - Quaker Steak & Lube in Beavercreek will host a St. Baldrick's Foundation head-shaving event to raise funds and awareness for lifesaving childhood cancer research on Saturday.
The goal of the event is to raise $5,000. Nearly 25 people have already registered to shave their heads to support the foundation's mission to conquer childhood cancers.
Fireside with Phil and Tony will provide the entertainment for the event, and KD Cakes and Specialties will provide cupcakes.
The St. Baldrink's Foundation is a volunteer-driven and donor-centered charity dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research and funding initiatives to find cures. As the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants, the foundation hosts signature head-shaving events where volunteers collect pledges and then shave their heads for children fighting cancer.
