FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - No criminal charges will be filed against a Fairborn teacher who was accused of duct taping a student to a desk, police announce Monday.

Scott Dammeyer was placed on administrative leave earlier this month pending an investigation.

On Monday, Fairborn Police announced they completed their investigation and forwarded their findings to the prosecutor who declined to file charges. The investigation is closed and the case has been referred back to Fairborn City Schools.

The school district was also investigating the incident. There is no timetable for that investigation and no word yet on its outcome.

According to the police report, officers were sent to the school on December 6 following an incident with a 7th Grader.
