FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) - Bellbrook High School is still mourning the loss of Sophie Kerrigan, Skylar Kooken and Julianna Hawk.

All three teens were killed in a car crash on November 4th in Sugarcreek Township.

"It's day by day.  There's good days.  There's bad days.  It's been almost a month and it's getting worse probably before it will get better,"says Bellbrook High School Asst. Principal Nikki Lowry.

As a show of support, Fairborn High School handed out yellow and purple ribbons at the game against Bellbrook Saturday night.  They also made a banner to remember the three lives lost.

"At Fairborn, we're very close.  We're a very close student body at the high school and I feel like if that happened to us at Fairborn, we would definitely want support from a different school and let them know we're there for you," says Fairborn High School junior Lizzie Wilson.

It's a reminder for all students how fragile life is.

"I think it's just an eye-opener to what can happen and everything, under the conditions.  It's just like be more cautious," comments Wilson.

"It reminds me that it could happen to anyone so a place that's really close to us, it just seems more real," says Fairborn High School senior Taylor Bocook.

Everyone at Bellbrook High School is thankful for the huge outpouring of support from the Miami Valley.

"I mean I couldn't even list all of the schools that sent us foods, cards, gifts, flowers.  It's just been, I can't describe it.  But it's been very touching, very meaningful for our students, our staff and the families really do appreciate it," explains Lowry.
